The Martyred Ones - a poetry
And on their breasts in bitter anguish beat
And in sad, mournful tunes, the tales repeat
Of how you lost your life upon the sands
You nobly spurned the tyrant's base demands
And Chose death to prevent your soul's defeat
Became a martyr with unflinching feet
For these well may one weep who understands
Hussain is King, the King of Kings
He is faith, defense of faith from him springs
Beheaded though
He never bowed to Yazeed
By God, God's unity by him is established
In which grave is his throne, and his crown where is it
O Earth ! Show us where us where is the Might of Yazeed Today

Majlis, Nauha & Matam in the City

Yesterday, Mumbai city witnessed lots of Azadari activities in different areas, from Dongri in South to Vasai Road in the North. Majalis for ladies & gents. Tabut, Juloos, Khandaq, Shabbedaari etc etc. It was the busiest Saturday for the lovers of Imam Husain (a.s.). Every where there was mourning, nauha, matam, masaeb.
But, one of the best masaeb was at Zainabia Imambada. Maulana Ghazanfar Abbas was at his best in Masaeb. He recited Majlis for about 2 hrs in which the masaeb were of 17.30 minutes. The crowd spilled over the street. A huge screen was put up for those who could not get a place inside the hall.
The night resembled to the Aashur one. The masaeb of Imam Husain (a.s.) when he was slaughtered thirsty by Shimr (curse of Allah upon him and his supporters). There was a lot of wailing by the crowd. There was not a single eye which did not had tears in it.
I have uploaded that particular masaeb for you to listen. The quality of video is weak, but, the audio one is fine. The file is big, it may take sometime to open. But, its worth waiting.

Shia Ulama Condemn Blasphemous Cartoons

Committee of Shia Ulama in the United Kingdom strongly condemns the blasphemous cartoons which were published in Danish and other European publications. Publishing such blasphemous cartoons will harm the harmony in the societies, and cause great outrage among over one and half billion of Muslims all over the world.
It can not be justified by the excuse of freedom of expression as that freedom should not harm the feelings of others; otherwise it will turn to indiscipline which can endanger the harmony and co-existence. Danish and other European governments need to have a legislation preventing such violations.
We are sorry to see the response of few Muslim youngsters in attacking and burning, which fails to fit the Islamic standards, and urge all Muslim leaders to try to control over Muslim masses' emotions and keep them within the Islamic principles. Nevertheless, European governments should avoid allowing any act which can instigate public feelings and lead to unwanted situation.
We call for a clear definition of freedom of expression, which must keep it away from attacking or harming the religious feelings.
